John McNabb was in little league and he was over 170 lbs and he was 12 years old.
That when the new comer batted he hit every ball John threw and nobody ever hit a ball thrown by John McNabb.
Jeffery got his nickname because of what he does which is why everyone calls him Maniac Magee.
McNabb’s group stopped at Hecter Street because that is where the black’s are and McNabb and his group are white. Whites and Blacks don’t cross the line.

3. John Mcnabb was a very tall baseball player who was only 12, but still weighed over 170 pounds.
4. The baseball game was so unusual because Mcnabb made a record for the most strikeouts for the L.L. It was also unusual because a random kid stepped up to the plate and bunted a frog and made a home run.

4.The unusual thing about the baseball game was that the runt hit the ball of McNab who always strikes out kids. Also, when McNab threw a frog fro the ground, the runt just bunted it an all the way to home plate and left.

ReplyDeleteThe mystery dinner guest was Maniac. He sat and ate. When the Pickwell children didn’t know who he was, at that time they looked to find him, but he was running so fast that they had to squint to see him.
John McNabb is a boy who plays on a baseball team. He is very tall, taller than the other kids. He is also very fat He is the pitcher for the team. He only throws fastballs which are hard to bat.
In the baseball game, John McNabb through a frog instead of a baseball and Maniac was up to bat. When he batted, Maniac ran through the bases and McNabb had to get the “ball.” The frog jumped and leaped Mcnabb had to get it, but the frog would not let him be caught.
Jeffery got his name because instead of always walking like the other people, Maniac always ran. Even if he was just wandering around, he would still run.
McNabbs group stopped at Hector street because that was the division line between the whites and blacks. They didn’t want to go into the other side.
