  7. I learned from Maniac Magee that life could be hard when you don't have someone to take care of you. Throughout the book Maniac Magee is going from place to place trying to just survive. Reading Maniac Magee I have learned that everyone who has parents or guardians are lucky to have them and should be thankful.

  8. The lesson I learned from reading Maniac Magee was never let people put you down. Maniac was being bullied by people since he was white in the black side. He still stayed in the East end no mater what.

  11. I learned by reading Maniac Magee that he left the Beale's house because the people were teasing them and saying rude compliements. I also learned that treat people the way you wanted to be treated it doesn't matter if you're white or black. The west point is for the white. The east point is for the black.

  14. I learned that all people are equal. No matter what color they are and who they are, we are all the same. You should treat everyone the same. In Maniac Magee , the book, it stated that some people were not happy with Maniac because he was white. They were separated, whites and black. They wanted Maniac to go back to the white side. They shouldn't have treated him like that because even though he is white, that doesn't change him, he is still human.
