  1. 1. We call our democracy representive democracy because there are to many people for everyone to vote, so only people 18 and older can vote. Representative democracy is better because kid's opinions are sometimes crazy.
    2. The schools were called gymnasia. The boys learned math, writing, and teaching. The boys wrote on a wooden board covered in wax and a stylist that made writing possible. N/A.
    3. The king of Troy built a wooden horse and brought it to Sparta for a gift, but late at night, soldiers jumped out of the horse and started to kill people.

    2. The schools were called gymnasia's. They learned math. reading, and writing. They would write on wooden tablets. Girls were not allowed to come to school they would stay home with there mothers.
    3. At first the spartans had built a huge horse they were going to put outside of the troys kingdom so they did that. But the troys did not know that there were 30 spartan soldiers inside and kill all of them and burned there kingdom. I think it probably did happen. All the things they built was very possible. So yes it probably did happen.

  6. 1. Explain the difference between direct and representative democracy. Which do you think is better? Why?
A direct democracy doesn’t matter what race you are or what gender. A representative democracy is you have to be 18 years or older to vote. I think direct democracy because it doesn’t matter what gender you are or race.

    2. What are Greek schools called? What subjects did greek boys study? How did they do their lessons? What did greek girls study?
The schools were called,” gymnasia.” The boys learned math, writing, and reading. They did there lesson on a wooden tablets covered with wax they also used a stylus made out of metal or bone. Greek girls didn’t study anything they stayed at home with their mother.

    3. Summarize the story of the Trojan horse and the Trojan war. Even though historians cant verify the details, do you think these events probably happened a fable? Give reasons for your opinion.

I think this is a true story because back then gods had power they would demand and send people to do stuff.

  7. 1. A direct democracy is when every male citizen that were not slaves and were over 18 could vote. A representative democracy is when certain elected people represents others when they vote. All adult citizens could vote, regardless of their race. I think representative democracy is best because any representative could vote as long as they are elected. Their race or their gender doesn’t matter.

    2. The school that kids went to was called “gymnasia”. Boys studied math, writing, and reading. They would write on a wooden tablet covered in wax. They used a utensil that was sharp on one side and smooth on the other. The would write with the sharp side and if they messed up, they would use the smooth side to smooth over the wax. Girls stayed at home with their mothers.

    3. A prince named Paris went to Sparta to see the king named Menelaus. While, Paris was there, Menelaus’ wife Helen fell in love with Paris. She went with Paris back to Troy and Menelaus found out. He was so mad he wanted to destroy Troy and kill it’s people. Menelaus started a war because of his anger. It lasted many years. Then, he came up with a plan. He made a giant wooden horse and pretended it was a peace offering. Troy celebrated because they believed him, and brought the horse inside the city gates. The Spartan army jumped out, killed the people and destroyed the city. No, I do not believe this is a real historical story, because I think king Menelaus would be reasonable enough to not start a whole war over his wife.

  8. 1. The difference between a direct and representative democracy is that in the representative democracy free men over the age of 18 could vote. Not all people could. The direct democracy meant that all citizens could vote on all issues. I think that the representative democracy would work for me because I think only older people could make the decisions and not all the people.
    2. Greek schools are called gymnasia which means “training grounds”. Greek boys would study math, writing, and reading. Greek boys did their lesson on a wooden tablet covered in wax and they used a stylus to write on it. On the other hand, Greek girls studied nothing. They stayed home with their mother and helped around their home.
    3. The story of the Trojan Horse started something like this. One day, the son of the king, Paris, of Troy went to see the king of Sparta. The kings wife left him for, Paris, and the king got mad so he made a war. He sent 100,000 ships to fight against Troy. The war lasted many years. Finally, the Spartans came up with a trick. They made a giant wooden horse and left it outside the wall of Troy. They said it was a horse of peace and they rejoiced. Later, they burned everything and everyone, so Troy was defeated and now gone.

  9. 1.Representative democracy is when the people choose someone to represent them instead of have over 500,000 people at once vote. Direct democracy is when all people under the age of 18 can vote. I think that representative democracy is better because you do not have to go threw so much trouble.
2.schools were called the gymnasia. Boys learned math, writing, and reading. The girls stayed at home with their mothers.
3.The story goes that Menelaus's wife helen left him for a beautiful prince in troy named paris. The king menelaus was enraged. He declared war. The spartans came up with a plan. They built a horse and offered it to the Romans. But there where thirty Spartans inside and they opened the gates and killed all of the city troy.

2.Well the girls did nothing they stayed home with there mothers. And the boys learned math, reading and writing.
3.They say that the Trojan Horse helped win the war that is true at least that is what I think.that Trojan horse was clever they won but putting 30 people in there after they were done with there party they came out and killed all the people and there house.

  11. 1.In a representative democracy citizens elect leaders who make decisions on their behalf. But you could only vote when you were 18 or older.

2.The schools were called gymnasia. the boys studied math, writing, and reading. the wrote on wooden tablets covered with wax. the girls studied how to weave and make clothes with their mother.

3.The war was very interesting. The spartans were very clever. The sent a wooden holo horse and they said that is was a gift and that the war was over. But thirty spartans hid inside the horse. At night the spartans snuck out of the horse opened the city gates and they let the other spartans in and killed everyone and burned the trojans to the ground.

  12. 1. I think that representative democracy is better because everyone over 18 gets to vote. Some people say its not fair but I think children couldn't vote.

    2. Greek schools were called, "gymnasia". Greek boys studied math, writing, and reading. Instead of paper, boys wrote on wood with a wet waxed stylus. The Greek girls stayed at home with their mothers.

    3. The Trojan war was about a very intense war. The spartans played a trick on Troy. They put a giant horse in front of the wall, to think it was a peace offering. Instead, everybody died because soldiers were inside.

The difference between direct and representative is that all the adult citizens could vote, regardless of their nationality or gender as long as that person is 18 and over. I think representative democracy is better because you don’t want a little kid voting for someone they don't know.

    2. The greek schools are called gymnasia. The boys studied math, writing, and reading. The boys did their lessons by sharp wax called, “The Stylus”. The greek girls stayed at their home/shelter with their mother.

    3. The summarized version of the Trojan Horse and the Trojan War was the king of Troy created a huge fake horse and gave it to the Sparta’s for a present. Later at night, the soldiers jumped out of the huge fake horse and started murdering people out of nowhere.

  14. 1. The difference between the direct democracy and the represent democracy is that in direct you can't vote unless your a free man and over 18. In represent you have the option to be heard. So what I think is better is represent, just because I would want to be heard. 2. The schools that the boys attended was called " Gymnasia". The subjects that the boys learned was math, writing, and reading. The boys did their lessons on a wooden tablet covered with wax. The girls didn't study anything, instead they stayed home. 3. The king's wife left him, so the king got mad. Then, they made a huge wooden horse and yah.

  15. 1. Direct and representative democracy is different because everyone could vote in the direct democracy, but in representative there is to many people. Also every race can vote in direct democracy but not every race could vote in representative democracy. I think direct democracy is better because everyone over 18 gets to vote. 2. Greek schools are called gymnasisas. Greek boys studied math, writing, and reading. Boys used wooden tablets instead of papyrus. They used a stylus to write on the tablet. The greek girls stayed home with their mom. 3. There was a war against Troy and Sparta. So one day the Spartans dragged a giant wooden horse to Troy’s city gate. There was 30 Spartan soldiers in the horse. At night they snuck out of the horse and opened Troy’s city gates for the Spartan army. The Spartan army burned Troy to the ground.

  18. The representative democracy and the direct democracy are different because in direct democracy only men over 18 can vote and they vote on everything. And in the representative democracy, a represented official speaks for everyone else’s laws and stuff. I like the representative democracy because women can speak up for themselves and their families.
In Greece, schools were called a gymnasia. Only boys went to gymnasia and they started school at the age 7. In school they wrote on wooden tablets covered with wax and for a writing tool, they used stylus which is a piece of metal or bone. Girls did not have school, they just stayed home with their mothers.
A guy got mad at his wife because she went to the place that he was in war with and stuff and so they sent a giant wooden horse with thirty soldiers inside and told them it was a peace offering. They believed him and put it inside and partied, but that night the soldiers got out and opened the gates to let the rest of the army in, then they killed and burned down everything. I do not believe this story because why would a guy start a war just because he lost his wife to a guy.
